Hub71, the global tech ecosystem in Abu Dhabi, has launched an expanded partnership with GetFundedAfrica, a tech-enabled marketplace that supports compatible technology with startups, investors (VCs & Angels), corporations, and government to support the growth of tech startups.
The new cross-border program – announced during GITEX Global 2022 in Dubai – aims to facilitate the involvement and expansion soft-landing of Hub71’s Emirati startups within Africa and the Middle East region, the program also helps to simplify the procedures for establishing local companies, issuing licenses, and opening bank accounts in new target markets.
The startups will be supported by Hub71 and GetFundedAfrica with introductions to potential customers and investors through their respective networks of corporate partners and investment funds.
Hub71 partners with GetFundedAfrica to foster the growth of high-potential startups by building a broad ecosystem to help facilitate the founders’ journey to successfully close funding rounds and expand into new markets to boost business scale.
The partnership also aims to enhance Hub71’s ability to identify and attract promising startups to Africa, while offering founders in its vibrant community referrals to GetFundedAfrica as a dedicated entry point to the African marketplace, which will enable startups in the UAE to benefit from the Ogun Technology Hub as a gateway entry to Africa.
Hub71 and GetFundedAfrica will provide startups with access to local universities to unleash highly skilled young talent, enriching the talent pool in both platforms’ markets.
