  • The UAE has been ranked the #1 destination globally for expats seeking work visas in a study by HR platform Deel.
  • The UAE attracts talent in fields like finance, IT, and consulting with roles like management consultants and software engineers in high demand.
  • With its tax-free salaries, infrastructure, and quality of life, the UAE provides an appealing destination for global knowledge workers.

The UAE has been named the number one destination globally for expats seeking work visas abroad, according to a new report.

The study by HR platform Deel analysed data from 300,000 contracts across 160 countries to determine the most popular destinations for international talent looking for employment opportunities overseas.

The findings revealed the UAE is the top choice for professionals in fields like financial services, IT, computer software, management consulting, and marketing. The most in-demand roles include management consultant, content manager, software engineer, influencer marketing manager and strategy director.

After the UAE, the Netherlands took second place, followed by France, the UK, and Singapore. The report highlighted the UAE’s commitment to nurturing a diverse, multinational workforce as a key factor in its popularity.

Tarek Salam, Head of Expansion at Deel, said: “The country’s commitment to talent, innovation and a dynamic business environment is resonating with international professionals and solidifying its position as a top hiring destination.”

He added that the UAE’s diverse and multicultural workforce is its “greatest asset”, allowing it to attract and retain global talent to drive continued economic growth.

The UAE offers an attractive proposition for expats with its tax-free salaries, warm climate, high standard of living and modern amenities. Its cosmopolitan cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi also provide abundant career opportunities across many industries.

With innovative government initiatives supporting business and infrastructure development, the nation continues to cement its reputation as a land of possibilities for global knowledge workers and entrepreneurs.
