To work together on the Huawei Spark program, Huawei Technologies and Flat6Labs, the top seed and early-stage venture capital firm in the MENA area, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Cairo.

The program seeks to hasten the expansion of companies engaged in the technology industry.

According to a press release on Thursday, the program, which Huawei and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) jointly launched, intends to accelerate the growth of entrepreneurs working in the technology sector while bringing new value to them.

The program also intends to support Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem as part of Huawei’s initiatives to hasten the digital transformation in line with Egypt’s 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development.

According to the MoU, a combined business accelerator program will be established for potential entrepreneurs, giving them free access to Huawei’s most recent technology as well as financing and investment opportunities through one of the top business accelerators in Egypt.
