The hosting of Web Summit Qatar 2024 comes when Qatar’s tech world is growing and the expansion of startups and the private sector is due to government support for technological innovation.
Qatar ranks 28th internationally in terms of innovation capacity, surpassing other countries in the region, according to the World Economic Forum’s 2021 Global Competitiveness Report.
Qatar has increased its investments in technological infrastructure in the past decade, focusing on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
