Organized by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones and Tahaluf, the second edition of the Black Hat event will be launched at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center from November 14 to 16, 2023, under the title “Developments in the Cybersecurity Sector” with the participation of a group of experts, speakers, security researchers, and investors.

In its second edition, the event offers the Executive Summit, a platform that allows heads of the cybersecurity sector and executives to exchange insights and experiences, discuss developments and the future of the industry with world experts, the Business Hall, which is the largest gathering of major local and international companies and startups in cybersecurity to display their products and services, the Cybersecurity Heads Club, which allows sector heads to join through club membership to benefit from the sources and activities of the Black Hat event, and the Arsenal Zone, which represents a space where developers display open tools. The source of programming and coding in various workshops, the Deep Dive Theater, which addresses untapped opportunities in the field, the Black Hat Campus Theatre for students and new entrants to the labour market, linking them to education and employment agencies, technical workshops that discuss the latest research and studies in information security, and the event also offers intensive training courses on defensive security technologies, penetration testing techniques, mobile application security, and many other topics.
Award
Black Hat offers four startup awards through the Cyberseed competition: the Innovation Award for a startup with an innovative idea, the Establishment Award for a startup with a positive impact, the Excellence Award for a distinguished startup for leading the cybersecurity sector, and the Saudi Star Award for the Saudi startup distinguished in cybersecurity.
Experts
The event will host a group of speakers from experts in the cybersecurity sector from major international companies such as Uber, Snap Inc., Apple, Zoom, Google, Coinbase, Boom, AirBus, Bae Systems, SocialProof Security, and many other international companies.
The event comes with prizes exceeding SAR 1,000,000 through several challenges and competitions such as the “Capture the Flag” competition, in which more than 1,000 contestants participate, the gap rewards platform, unlocking, chip penetration, drones, smart city, in addition to the challenge of escaping the room, hacking medical devices and electronic contracts.

Miteb Al-Qani, CEO of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, pointed out the importance of the event, saying, “The Black Hat event is an important opportunity for investors, startups, and those interested, especially the presence of the most important leaders of the sector and the most prominent cybersecurity companies,” and added, “We seek to present a distinguished version this year through platforms and sessions that discuss the future of cybersecurity and various new events.”
The second edition of Black Hat will have an expected attendance of more than 40,000 experts, with the participation of more than 350 exhibitors, 50 startups, more than 300 speakers, and more than 250 technical sessions and workshops.
