The GSMA, in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), has confirmed new details for the inaugural MWC25 Doha, scheduled for November 25–26, 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
As the first Mobile World Congress hosted in the MENA region, MWC25 Doha will feature:
- More than 200 world-class speakers
- Over 150 exhibitors confirmed to date, expected to reach 200 by opening day
- Delegates from more than 60 countries, with 40% at director level or above
Anchoring Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030
At a press briefing in Doha, His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, described the event as a milestone for Qatar’s role in digital transformation.
“Hosting the inaugural MWC25 Doha reflects our commitment to advancing digital transformation under the Digital Agenda 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030. Together with GSMA, we bring the world’s leading voices in ICT to Doha for the first time, to explore the future of AI, 5G, and digital economies,” said Al Mannai.
Senior representatives from GSMA, including John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA Ltd., and Lara Dewar, GSMA CMO, joined officials from MCIT to announce the updates.
Global Brands and Local Champions
Exhibitors already confirmed include Cisco, Dell, Google Cloud, HPE, Huawei, Microsoft, Nokia, Ooredoo, PwC, Vodafone, ZTE, and leading Qatari data centre provider Meeza.
To strengthen local impact, GSMA also signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), Qatar University, Media City Qatar, Ooredoo, and Vodafone.
Vivek Badrinath, Director General of GSMA, said the choice of Doha reflects both ambition and readiness:
“With bold ambitions, strong investment capacity, and a policy environment that supports innovation, MENA is one of the world’s most exciting digital markets right now. Doha is the perfect location for our first MWC in the region.”
