LabLabee, an Algerian edtech startup, has successfully raised $3.4 million in seed funding to enhance its hands-on learning solutions in the fields of 5G, AI, and cloud technologies. The funding round was led by Reach Capital, with support from Classera, Brighteye Ventures, and e& capital. Prominent business angels such as Cedric Sellin and Mohammed Husamaddin also participated in the round.
Founded in 2021 by Samir Tahraoui and Mahfoud Sidi Ali Mebarek, LabLabee has been at the forefront of delivering innovative educational experiences that combine practical learning and cutting-edge network technologies. The company’s immersive platform provides users with a sandbox environment where they can learn, practice, and test their skills, helping professionals stay competitive in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
The newly secured funding will be used to expand LabLabee’s reach into the US market, hire more talent, and further develop its suite of educational technologies. Additionally, the company plans to introduce new training labs focused on VMware, Redhat, and Windriver, while expanding its course offerings to cover critical topics like telco security and AI applications in telecommunications.
LabLabee’s growth strategy is also fueled by partnerships with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The company aims to address the growing skills gap in cloud-native technologies by offering affordable, on-demand labs that focus on critical areas like 5G, IMS, and Kubernetes.
As part of its global expansion, LabLabee will be increasing its workforce by hiring experts in engineering, sales, and customer support. The company’s collaboration with telecom operators, vendors, and educational institutions ensures that its practical, hands-on training programs not only reduce costs but also accelerate skill development.
Esteban Sosnik, co-founder of Reach Capital, praised LabLabee’s founders for their technical expertise and dedication to solving skill shortages in the telecom sector. Tahraoui, one of the founders, emphasized that LabLabee is committed to simplifying the learning process, making it quicker and more practical for professionals in fast-moving industries.
This latest funding round underscores the confidence that investors have in LabLabee’s mission to reshape learning in the tech industry, particularly in the telecommunications and industrial sectors.
