Doha, Qatar – The global Muslim community has a new digital home for ethical and faith-aligned audio content. Nasheedio, an AI-powered audio streaming platform, made its grand debut at Web Summit Qatar 2025, held from February 23 to 26.
The event, which hosted over 25,000 innovators, investors, and more than 1,500 startups, provided the perfect stage for Nasheedio to showcase its mission. Designed specifically for Muslim audiences, the platform curates Islamic-friendly audio content, ensuring a safe and enriching listening experience.
A Unique Platform for Faith-Based Audio Content
Nasheedio stands out in the crowded streaming industry by offering a dedicated space for nasheeds, podcasts, and educational content. Unlike mainstream platforms that mix various genres, Nasheedio ensures that all available content adheres to Islamic principles.
Many Muslim consumers face challenges when searching for audio content that aligns with their faith. Nasheedio bridges this gap, providing a seamless experience without inappropriate material or distractions. The platform caters to individuals seeking faith-driven entertainment, as well as families looking for reliable, clean content.
Strong Market Reception and Rapid Growth
Since launching on the Play Store in September 2024, Nasheedio has seen rapid adoption. Speaking at Web Summit Qatar, Nasheedio’s CEO, Lucy Amanda, shared insights into the app’s impressive growth.
“We’ve already reached 170,000 downloads and have over 760,000 active users. Our goal is to hit 500,000 downloads by the end of Ramadan. With a global Muslim population of over two billion, we believe there’s a massive demand for faith-based content,” Amanda stated.
Nasheedio’s user base consists of individuals who previously struggled to find a dedicated, faith-compliant audio streaming service. The positive reception highlights a growing need for niche platforms catering to religious and cultural preferences.
Filling a Gap for Creators and Listeners
Apart from its user appeal, Nasheedio is also gaining traction among content creators. Many Islamic content producers have avoided mainstream platforms like Spotify and YouTube due to conflicting values.
“We’re seeing an influx of creators who now have a platform that respects their values,” Amanda noted. “Users are thrilled that someone has built this for the Muslim community, and content creators finally have a home for their work.”
The platform’s strict content guidelines ensure that all audio materials adhere to Islamic teachings. This provides an added layer of trust for users, making it a preferred choice for Muslim families.
Open to All, Beyond Religious Boundaries
While Nasheedio is primarily tailored for Muslim audiences, Amanda emphasized that the platform is open to everyone.
“It’s not just for Muslims,” she explained. “Non-Muslims who are curious about Islam can explore educational content, and we also have business and lifestyle podcasts that appeal to a wider audience.”
By offering diverse and ethical content, Nasheedio aims to attract users who seek a refined and value-based listening experience, regardless of their religious background.
Future Plans and Revenue Model
Currently, Nasheedio is free for all users, but premium subscription features are in the pipeline. Amanda revealed that the company plans to introduce paid options soon, which may include exclusive content, ad-free experiences, and enhanced features.
“We’re working on introducing premium features in the coming months, but for now, the app remains completely free,” she added.
Nasheedio’s entry into the digital streaming world marks a significant step forward for faith-based tech solutions. As the platform continues to grow, it stands as a testament to the rising demand for content that aligns with users’ cultural and religious values.
